Great mat!
YES!!!! Great quality and just what I was looking for at a great price! Soft and durable. Simple design. Comes with a little band to hold it together, so it’s very easy to store or bring with you! I’ve only used it on carpet so far, but I’ve had no problems of it moving or being unstable! Seems like a good amount of padding too.

Gaiam Mats are the best!
I’m a Yoga teacher & have tried sooo many Yoga mats at various price points. Out of all my mats, Gaiam is by far my favorite! The colors are vibrant and some have fun designs. I think the thickness of this mat is ideal and I never slip on these mats.The downfall of this particular purchase is that the included strap was wrapped so tightly around the mat that it left deep lines in the mat. I doubt they are going to come out. I didn’t really care about the strap & didn’t plan to use it but it’s a bummer it left such deep lines on the mat. The mat will function fine but it doesn’t look as nice.

Noxious when unpacked, but good quality!
Definitely needs to be aired out for at least 24h after first unpacking & unrolling, as the fresh chemical smell is STRONG – will need to leave in a well ventilated room or outside!It’s a good size, exactly as stated, which is perfect for my frame without feeling too big or small. It’s not super bulky, but it’s still thick enough to protect me from the hardwood floor I stretch on. Love the color! Carry strap is pretty cheap, it’s just a fabric strap with a slider – if it’s the difference between this item and a different one, honestly making your own strap could be better. But it feels nice and relaxing and I’m not worried about it rolling away! Love the mat, would get again if I needed a spare.

Great everyday yoga mat!
I am just getting into yoga and love this mat! I enjoyed the color options, the carry strap is great and it stays on- it doesn’t slide. The mat is supportive and has some grip. It is comfortable and has enough cushion!

This GAIA Yoga mat has a great ‘grippy’ surface that does not become slippery. I started with a thicker foam mat and those thick ones are potentially a bit dangerous as they are slippery when doing Yoga moves. You could slip and hurt yourself with those cheaper thick foam ones.Gaia thin ones are one of the BEST you can get. You can use a cheaper one under it if you are outside on uneven ground. Always have the Gaia next to your skin.
